Organized Christians of Oregon is a nonpartisan coalition of local churches and Christians in Oregon. We encourage one another to take part in civic life, starting with casting a ballot.

About us

We started in Benton County as Organized Christians of Benton County, a nonpartisan coalition of churches and individual Christians. Now Organized Christians of Oregon, we are growing to serve congregations across the state.

Our aim is simple: make it easier for church members to vote. We host convenient ballot collection at participating churches on Sundays, and we share clear, practical voter information.

We are strictly nonpartisan: we never endorse or oppose candidates or parties, and our ballot boxes accept every ballot without asking how anyone voted. We place boxes where our member churches are, regardless of how those areas vote.

Church ballot boxes: how it works

Oregon votes by mail. Avoid the mail where possible, for reliability: hand your ballot off at church instead.

    Drop it off on Sunday

    Sign and seal your ballot in its return envelope, then place it in the ballot box at a participating church.

    Delivered within 24 hours

    Trusted volunteers deliver every ballot directly to an official county drop box within 24 hours.

    We keep watch

    We follow up to make sure every ballot we carry is received and counted.

Please note

Our church boxes are not official ballot drop sites. They are a volunteer courtesy. Official drop boxes are run by your county elections office.

Your privacy

We never open, copy, or record your ballot or your signature. Your information is never shared without your consent.

Deadline

Ballots must be received by 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Earlier is better.

Oregon law allows anyone to return a ballot for a voter (ORS 254.470), and our boxes follow the state’s signage rules (ORS 260.695).
